The ultimate branding project that comes to life in a unique and interesting package design.

This project is to appeal to the studio based artists. A lot of artists are well acquainted with paint pens or acrylic markers, to the point that a collection of markers requires organisation. So why not sell the consumer markers that come with a storage solution?

BiteMark delivers premium paint markers with packaging that is a reusable, stackable, storage solution. Not only that but the packaging is also a portable case, useful for those artists on the move.

The Logo

This logo is to represent the unique style of packaging whilst hinting at the actual product inside the packaging, the markers. This design has a slight edge that will appeal to the target audience.

The slogan is to hint at the effect of a strong animal bite whilst describing the basic action of a marker.

The Concept

To supply this amazing idea to the consumer, the package needs not only look interesting but also function as intended. Through rigorous brainstorming and sketching, the idea started to come together.

These sketches reveal how the package will function as a collectable storage solution as the consumer needs.

The Dieline

With some maths and engineering the dieline was created and also tested as a simple paper structure which proved that the design worked.

Satisfied with the design of the physical structure, the actual branding, mandatory information and other graphics can were then positioned. Finally, flaps and fold lines were made obvious to the printer by using overprint and a dark teal colour.

The Mockups

Introducing the 3D rendition of the final concept!
This image demonstrates the physical nature of the project and shows up all the cool angles and details that make this product unique and practical.

This concept is to represent what a 'starter kit' would look like for the brand. The contents are some base colours as not every artist is going to want to start off by purchasing complete colour and size sets. So this is a way of offering a good bunch of colours and the cool packaging.

The Photoshoot

Of course I had to make some cool prototype imagery. I built a small cardboard model using the dieline and then used some editing to bring the model to life in a fun and playful photoshoot of the product in its element. See the images below.

Touch points

Other bits and pieces are usually available with new brands such as T-shirts, key rings, stickers, etc. This opens up the brand for great potential to become more involved with the artist community.

Stickers

Every artist loves stickers! Lets give the consumer some basic branding so they can decorate their workspace and equipment!

Artist Collaboration

Lets collaborate with artists that are willing to promote our product! This will show a great involvment in the community but also create a collectable piece of merchandise such as a stick and T-shirt.
